 Day 01 Arrival at Addis Ababa and transfer to Hotel

Welcome to Ethiopia, Aman Ethiopia Tours & Travel teams  will meet you at Addis Ababa Bole Int Airport then we will embark to your hotel in Addis Ababa for check in your luggage & After a hearty breakfast we will start visiting Addis Ababa.

Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis Ababa with a drive up to Mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis.

Descend down and drive to the National Museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of the ‘Lucy’ fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during WWII.

Then proceed to the Ethnographic Museum, which use to be the palace of Emperor Hailesellase later after having your lunch we will take you to one of the holiest churches of Ethiopia known as the Holi Trinity church then we will see the tombs of Emperor Haile Silase with the amazing painting of the church later after you visit the museums of this church we will wrap up you drive to Merkato, the biggest market in East Africa.

 Day 02 Drive Addis Ababa to Hawassa

Your second day starts with a  drive to Hawassa. On the way you have a chance to visit Abijatta Shalla National Park. It contains 887 square kilometers including Abijatta and Shalla two alkaline lakes. The habitat of Abijatta-Shalla National Park contains open grasslands, dry savannas, arid shrub lands and that were dominated by Acacia trees, which include umbrella thorn acacias, red acacias and gum acacias. You will see Grant’s gazelles, Common Warthogs, the park is also home to 300 species of birds that are listed as endemics, residents, and migratory. Common Ostriches and Somali Ostriches are mostly common for their breeding.

Day 03 Day trip to Yirgalem Coffee Plantation

After breakfast we will drive to Yirgalem to visit the garden coffee plantation farm. The climatic conditions including elevation, rainfall, and temperature that create a wonderful environment for quality Yirgalem coffee, grown mainly in small villages (kebeles). These kebeles refer to the coffee as “garden coffee” which is grown at low density. After lunch we will back to Hawassa.

 Day 04 Drive Hawassa to Debrezeit

After breakfast you will visit the local Fish Market and different kinds of bird watching at Amora Gedele and you will take boat trip to see Hippo on Lake Hawassa. Later drive to Wondo Genet its known for its hot springs and is surrounded by primary Ethiopian forests.

 Day 05 Drive to Addis Ababa and Departure

After breakfast you will drive to Addis Ababa and begin sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to Ethnological Museum houses anthropological, musicological and cultural objects. The Ethnological Museum is the first university museum in Ethiopia. The Museum is located in the main Campus of Addis Ababa University which houses the Institute of Ethiopian Studies and it was the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie. Then drive to National museum, it contains many precious local archaeological finds such as the fossilized remains of early hominids, the most famous of which is “Lucy,” the partial skeleton of a specimen of Australopithecus Afarensis. Recently added to the basement gallery is a display on Selam, found between 2000 and 2004. This archaic fossil is estimated to date to 3.3 million years ago. Finally drive to Merkato, established by the Italian around 1937 it’s a large open-air marketplace in Africa, Covering several square miles and employing an estimated 13,000 people in 7,100 business entities.
