Day 01 Arrival Addis Ababa and City Tours

You will meet upon arrival from international flight and take to Hotel refresh and begin sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to National museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of Lucy fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during the WWII. Then proceed to Ethnographic museum it was the palace of Emperor Hailesellase until 1960.Finally drive to Merkato, the biggest market in East Africa Established by the Italian around 1937.

Day 02 Fly Addis Ababa to Semera and Drive to Hamedella

After breakfast you will take to airport your flight to Semera. You will meet upon arrival and drive to Hamedella visiting beautiful landscape of solidified lava, rock, sand and occasional palm lined oasis after you pass several small hamlets start visiting Hamadella village total population of more than 500 people to see the life style of the local Afar people. Finally, precede to Salt Lake Asale a huge salty lake where you will swim in a natural pool while enjoying sunset reflections of the salty ground.

Day 03 Visit Dallol Then Drive to Erta Ale

The morning tour includes a drive to Ragad (Asebo) to observe local salt mining activities, followed by a visit to Dallol to explore its unique volcanic landscape, characterized by colorful salt formations and bubbling lakes, situated 125 meters below sea level. After lunch in Hamadella, the journey continues to Ertale, a challenging shield volcano known for its permanent lava lake, which has existed since the early 20th century. Visitors spend the night witnessing the dramatic boiling lava, making Ertale one of the most captivating natural attractions in Ethiopia.

Day 04 Ertale Drive to Lake Afdera – Semera and Fly to Addis Ababa

After early Breakfast we will drive to Afdera it is used for salt extraction. It is named after the saline Lake Afdera, located in the southern part of the Afar Depression. It is a major source of salt extraction in Ethiopia, where the Lake water is pumped to saltpans
for solar evaporation. After lunch, we will drive to Semera airport for your flight to Addis Ababa.

Day 05 Fly Addis Ababa to Lalibela

After breakfast, fly to Lalibela, where you’ll be greeted and taken to your hotel. After lunch, visit the first group of seven rock-hewn churches, including Bet Golgotha, Bet Mika’el, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danagl, and the largest, Bet Medhane Alem, known for its polished stone floor and symbolic graves for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Later, explore Bet Giyorgis, the most elegant church, located on a sloping rock terrace in the southwest part of the village.

Day 06 Fly Lalibela to Addis Ababa

In the Morning you will visit the remaining churches like Bete Gabriel, Bete Marqorios, Bete Emmanuel, and Bete Aba Libanos. Later you will take to airport your flight to Addis Ababa.

Day 07 Drive Addis Ababa to Hawassa

After having breakfast at the hotel we will drive to hawasa. On the way you have a chance to visit Abijatta-Shalla National Park. It contains 887 square kilometers including Abijatta and Shalla two alkaline lakes. The habitat of Abijatta-Shalla National Park
contains open grasslands, dry savannas, arid shrub lands and that were dominated by Acacia trees, which include umbrella thorn acacias, red acacias and gum acacias. You will see Grant’s gazelles, Common Warthogs, the park is also home to 300 species of
birds that are listed as endemics, residents, and migratory. Common Ostriches and Somali Ostriches are mostly common for their breeding.

Day 08 Drive Hawssa to Arbaminch

After breakfast you will visit the local Fish Market and different kinds of bird watching at Amora Gedele After lunch you will drive to Dorze village. Dorze people who are expert in weaving called Shammas Weaving are a primary profession for a number of Dorze people. The shape of their house looks Elephant, to remember the existence of these animals around the area many years ago. They are known for their traditional weaving of huts made out of local bamboo. Enset “fake banana” is the stable food for these peoples.

Day 09 Drive Arba Minch – Konso – Turmi

After breakfast, take a boat cruise on Lake Chamo, Ethiopia’s third-largest lake, where you might see Nile crocodiles, hippos, and various birds. Then head to Konso village, a UNESCO site known for its terraced agriculture that protects against soil erosion and its high-quality coffee. Continue to Turmi Hamer village, famous for the bull-jumping initiation rite, unique body adornment, and men’s clay-styled hair decorated with ostrich feathers.

Day 10 Drive Turmi – Karo – Turmi – Jinka

Drive to Murulle to visit the Karo people, known for their striking body decorations using white chalk for ceremonies, and women who scar their chests for beauty while men scar to signify their accomplishments. Next, proceed 17 km to the Nyangatom people, recognized for their slender bodies adorned with numerous goat-skin necklaces and skirts, then return to Turmi for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ari people, the largest group in the lower Omo Valley, where women wear Enset skirts and excel in pottery, blacksmithing, and traditional liquor distillation.

Day 11 Drive Jinka – Mago – Jinka and Fly to Addis Ababa

After breakfast at the hotel Take a day excursion to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village. The Mursi are one of the exotic ethnic groups in Ethiopia. They live in very low huts made of straw leaves around Mago River. The women like to wear terra cotta on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes. The men practice light scarification on their shoulders after killing an enemy and shave geometric patterns on their head. Drive back to Jinka airport your flight to Addis Ababa. At the Evening you will have a Dinner at Traditional Ethiopian Restaurant with Ethiopian different traditional live music and meals. Finally, take to airport your flight to Home.
