Day 3 โ Visit Second Group of Churches & Optional Asheten Monastery

Explore the Second Group of Churches connected by tunnels and passageways.

Day 4 โ Fly to Arba Minch via Addis Ababa

Fly from Lalibela to Arba Minch, via Addis Ababa (connection).

Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge with views of Lake Chamo and Lake Abaya.

Day 5 โ Drive to Jinka via Konso & Key Afer Market

Stop at the Konso Cultural Landscape (UNESCO site), known for terraced agriculture and wooden funerary statues.

Visit Key Afer Market (if Thursday), where Benna, Ari, and Tsemay tribes trade goods.

Arrive in Jinka, your base for exploring Mago National Park and the Mursi tribe.

Day 6 โ Visit Mursi Tribe & Drive to Turmi (Hamar Land)

Early morning drive into Mago National Park to visit the Mursi Tribe, known for their striking lip plates and body art.

Learn about their customs and daily life with the help of a local translator.

Continue to Turmi, heartland of the Hamar people.

If lucky, witness a bull-jumping ceremony, a rite of passage for young men.

Day 7 โ Excursion to Karo Tribe & Visit Hamar Village

Visit the Karo Tribe in Korcho, famous for intricate body painting and stunning views over the Omo River.

Return to Turmi and explore a Hamar village, known for their ochre-colored hair and beaded adornments.

Cultural exchange with locals and evening storytelling around the campfire.

Day 8 โ Return to Arba Minch via Arbore Tribe

On your way back to Arba Minch, stop at the Arbore tribe, who live in the Omo River delta area and are known for body ornaments and distinctive hairstyles.

Continue north, arriving in Arba Minch by late afternoon.

Optional boat ride on Lake Chamo to spot hippos and crocodiles.

Day 9 โ Fly to Addis Ababa & Departure
